Put your story in the stars

Asterist is an augmented reality mobile app that allows users to connect stars into constellations to tell stories about the people, times and events that matter most to them, helping them narrativize and memorialize feelings.

The sky is your canvas! Create constellations, upload photos, audio, and text, and tell your story in the stars.

Why "Asterist"?

The name combines asterism—a recognizable pattern of stars in the sky—with artist, reflecting the app's mission of turning the night sky into a place for creativity and personal expression.

Created by students and faculty from the University of Southern California's Interactive Media & Games community, Asterist was built to help people connect through storytelling, creativity, and the shared wonder of the night sky.
